Founder & President
Bob Cohen is the Founder and President of Financial Design Group, which he established in 1996. With more than 30 years of experience, he has dedicated his career to advising individuals, families, and institutions throughout Western New York, providing thoughtful guidance across all aspects of their financial lives.
Bob began his career as a Certified Public Accountant at KPMG (formerly Peat Marwick), where he developed a strong foundation in accounting and financial analysis. He later served as Chief Financial Officer of Niagara Exchange Corporation. In addition to his role at Financial Design Group, Bob also serves as Chief Operating Officer of W.J. Cox Associates, Inc. and its subsidiaries.
He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) professional and a Certified Public Accountant (inactive), bringing a comprehensive and disciplined approach to financial planning and investment management.
Bob earned both his Bachelor’s degree and MBA from the University at Buffalo.
